“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged,
for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” – Joshua 1:9

Today, people choose educated, skilled, and experienced leaders. Competition for high-ranking positions is for the keen mind, able to foresee and forecast things and make drastic and immediate decisions. The measure of success depends on the person’s effort, abilities, and motivation. But in the spiritual or Christian world, it’s different. God does not look at the intellectual aspects nor skills and abilities of a man. God sees the heart it’s willing to obey and trust Him.

People of intelligence tend to put their trust in themselves, but God seeks those willing to follow and trust Him. It’s not about one’s perfection but his perseverance to obey and faith that measures a believer’s success and victory. It’s a journey with God, who is faithful and committed to helping us through.

We must remember that the battle is not ours to overtake and win over. God just wants us to partake in his fight to fully understand, experience, and enjoy His love, power, grace, and mercy – all this packaged and well-wrapped in His promises. God’s promises are the reward for our steps of obedience buckled up with our faith in Him.

Leadership made in heaven means you should be:

1. Strong – willing to persevere the pressures of life
2. Courageous – willing and confident to move on despite threats and uncertainties
3. Know God’s Word – Keeping God’s word in his heart is the source and basis of his
principles in life and the decisions he will make.
4. Obedient – willing to follow Jesus and stay in His path and will.
5. Not Afraid – willing to take the challenges and risks
6. Not Discouraged – always grateful and joyful despite the difficulties.

God wants us, His children, to be leaders (Deuteronomy 28:13), and He wants us to see and treat Him as a King to whom we should submit ourselves. Leadership made in heaven is taking the lead under the King Lord Jesus’ flag in full obedience and confidence to His promises that He will never forsake us.
